Saying goodbye for the year; last day of school tomorrow! JM student poses with our relationship coaches/staff here at John Marshall.

As the 2024–2025 school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights from the past ten months. This list doesn’t capture everything great that happened in our schools, but I hope it gives you a sense of the extraordinary work we’ve done together. Everyone connected to Rochester Public Schools (RPS) should feel proud of what we’ve accomplished—and even more excited about what lies ahead. For those unable to attend the Century High School (11 a.m.), Mayo High School (3 p.m.), or John Marshall High School (7 p.m.) graduation ceremonies in person at the Civic Center, we are glad to offer a live stream on our YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/ISD535. Tune in at the scheduled ceremony times to share in the excitement from wherever you are!

This final week for our Seniors had some extra special moments like when Ms. Blaisdell, (former Elton Hills) 5th grade teacher, visited her graduating seniors!

Today we celebrated our Big Brother Big Sister matches between JM and Gage & Washington. These same students will continue their mentoring friendship another academic year. We had 22 JM students participate this year, with many more that have applied & interviewed to participate next year. They were all so happy to see each other.

Friendly reminder: No school on Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day)! RPS offices will also be closed. We'll resume regular hours on Tuesday, May 27.

A final pep fest for Class of 2025.

Final Senior Moments happening today... graduation practice, March through the halls & Pepfest. We are excited for, but will miss these kids!

Our Spanish Club celebrated their graduating seniors and each other today after school. ❤️

Here's a small taste of the art you can find at the JM Art Show. There is an evening public reception from 5:30-7pm in the Rocket Center on Thursday, May 22. Join us!

Some more Senior Walk photos. It is a wonderful event for JM seniors, former teachers/staff and rising Rockets.

We are thrilled to invite you to honor our incredible graduating seniors next week as they embark on their next exciting chapter. Yes, it was rainy! Yes, we were wringing our hair out. But yes, our Rockets 🚀 handled the Senior Walk in true Rocket-fashion.... which is amazingly! We'll share a link with additional photos soon.

Elizabeth’s final flowers project that she did in Floral Design class. She is so proud of it. She picked Halloween theme & her favorite part are the little signs. Great job Elizabeth!
