About Our School
Overland Elementary, constructed in 2019, is located in Northwest Rochester and serves approximately 490 students in Kindergarten to Fifth grade. Overland is a welcoming neighborhood school, striving to ensure that all students individual needs are known, met and celebrated. The mission of Overland Elementary is to Overland Owls inspire all to continuously learn and grow into our best selves in a safe and inclusive community.
Overland's name was chosen for its location; as the school is located near a wooded area where local owls reside. These owls inspired Oakley the Owl, Overland's mascot. Overland opened to students from Harriet Bishop Elementary in the 2021-2022 school year. The 2022-2023 school year was the inaugural year for the Overland Owls.
